About the event

Many of us know how good it feels when our mind, body, work and creative juices are all in whack. When we have healthy habits whether it be diet, exercise or journaling all systems are firing and the feeling is great. When we’re back into whack we’re calm, productive and deeply focused. Given this upside, why is it so easy to get out of whack? Why does it take so little to suddenly be binge watching mind numbing TV, eating unconsciously and avoiding the gym at all costs. Is there a science behind getting back into whack in a sustainable way? Can we ditch the pressure, guilt, self criticism and trade it in for some other form of fuel? This workshop will help you to answer some of these questions and become more aware of your own barriers to maintain healthy habits in your day to day life.

Faciltators:

Mel is a clinical psychologist, researcher, and teacher. The intention behind Mel's approach is to support people to lead a life that is rich and meaningful and not restricted by self limiting beliefs. Mel integrates her own personal experience, indigenous wisdom, mindfulness based practices and neuropsychology into her workshops.

For the last 30 minutes of the workshop you will be guided by Allie to integrate what you have learnt about Recalibration into a meditation and yoga practice. Allie is a dedicated student of yoga. Practising and teaching for over 10 years, she is passionate about the yogic path and awakening to our true selves.

Allie will support you to gently examine where you are now and take time to come back to yourself. Through yoga and meditation you will let go of old habitual response patterns and create new healthy habits with ease instead of friction. You will be taken on a deeply healing experience, all about becoming peaceful in the present moment with acceptance and love.

Within this workshop you will:

  • Understand the science behind sustainable behavioural change
